Attendee advocacy is when the people going to an event promote it to their own network, usually with a personal social post that says they will be there. Speakers, sponsors and exhibitors count too. The organizer supplies a branded graphic, a link and a caption; each person adds what no brand can: their face, name and reason for going.
Social advocacy is when people promote a brand, cause, product or event on social media in their own name, because they believe in it or are part of it. Employee advocacy is when employees share their company's news, content and opportunities on their own social media profiles, in their own words. So employee advocacy is one kind of social advocacy, next to customer, member and attendee advocacy.
A Meet Me At graphic is a branded event image with space for a personal photo that attendees, speakers or exhibitors post to tell their network they will be at an event. The organizer designs it once and shares one link; each person adds their own photo and posts it with a short caption.
A speaker share card is a branded graphic that announces a speaker's session at an event, with their photo, name, role and talk title, made to be posted on social media. The event posts it to present its lineup, and the speaker posts it to tell their own network, which is usually where most of its reach comes from.
Organic LinkedIn marketing is everything you do on LinkedIn to reach people without paying for ads: posts, comments, shares and conversations by your company page and, above all, by real people. For events, the strongest organic channel is the personal network of your team, speakers, sponsors and attendees.
The usual formula: EMV = earned impressions ÷ 1,000 × the CPM you would pay for comparable ads. CPM is the cost per 1,000 impressions on that channel. Earned media value (EMV) is an estimate of what the reach you did not pay for would have cost if you had bought it as advertising.
LinkedIn impressions count how many times a post, ad or other piece of content was shown to people on LinkedIn. One person can create several impressions by seeing the same post more than once, so impressions are a measure of visibility, not of unique people, attention or interest. Reach and engagement are separate numbers.
CPM, short for cost per mille, is the price of 1,000 ad impressions: what an advertiser pays for their ad to be shown a thousand times. Mille is Latin for thousand. CPM is how paid reach is priced and compared across channels, and it is the second input, next to impressions, when you estimate earned media value.
