Definition

What is an attendee advocacy platform?

An attendee advocacy platform helps the people at your event promote it to their own network, usually with a personalized graphic, a share link and a prepared post.

The post itself is usually a Meet Me At graphic or a social share card: the event's design with the person's photo. The tools differ in what they add around that post. Some import speaker data from a spreadsheet, some track referrals and reward the people who bring others, some attribute ticket sales. Others, Go Spread among them, focus on making the post itself quick and on-brand.

The idea behind all of them is the same: people trust people more than brand pages. LinkedIn research found that employee posts outperform company pages 8×, and posts by attendees work on the same principle. Read more in the glossary: attendee advocacy and user-generated content.

Go Spread is our product. We list it first because it is our site, not because it wins; we do not rank the tools.

The category

Five kinds of tools. One goal: people talking about your event.

The tools above solve different parts of the same problem. Knowing which kind you need narrows the list fast.

Self-service share graphics

Attendees make their own graphic from one link.

The organizer designs once; every attendee, speaker or sponsor adds a photo and posts. Go Spread works this way, and Twibbonize uses the same idea for public photo frames.

Data-driven banners

Graphics generated from your speaker list.

Upload a spreadsheet and get one banner per row: Gleanin (Excel), DynaPictures (CSV, XLSX) and Canva Bulk Create.

Referrals and contests

Tracked links, leaderboards, rewards.

Premagic, KonfHub and Sessionboard focus on who brings whom.

Design tools

Your team designs and sends every file.

Canva is a full design tool. A Canva PNG also works as the graphic in Go Spread.

Registration-side

Social proof inside the ticket flow.

InGo adds referrals to registration, where people see who else is going.

Also worth knowing

Referral-first tools. Registrations, not graphics.

These tools focus on tracking who brings whom. Go Spread does not do this; if registration attribution is your main goal, start here.

New to the term? What is an event referral program?

Before you choose

Six questions to ask any vendor.

Whichever tool you look at, these answers tell you how it will feel for your team and your attendees.

  1. Who makes each graphic?

The attendee through a link, or your team from a spreadsheet? That decides how much work lands on you per speaker and per attendee.

  2. What does the attendee have to do?

Count the steps from the email to a live post: account, app, upload, caption. Every extra step costs participation.

  3. Can people post straight to LinkedIn?

Or do they download a file and post it themselves? Ask how the caption gets into the post and whether it can be edited.

  4. How is it priced?

Per month with user seats, per event, or on request. Map it to how many events you run in a year.

  5. What does it measure?

Views, downloads, posts, estimated impressions, referrals or ticket sales. Pick the metric you will actually report.

  6. Can it carry your brand?

Your own design, your logo, your domain. Ask what stays fixed and what attendees can change.

Decision guide

Which tool fits your event?

Start from the job you need done. Each line points to the tools whose own pages say they do it.

  1. Attendees should post fast, without a sales process

Go Spread: self-serve, a free plan to test, one-time pricing per event, no attendee account and a direct LinkedIn post.

    • Go Spread
  2. You have a long speaker list in a spreadsheet

Gleanin (Excel upload) and DynaPictures (CSV or XLSX) generate graphics from your data. Canva Bulk Create works too if your team sends every file.

    • Gleanin
    • DynaPictures
    • Canva
  3. You need to show ticket sales from shares

Gleanin's reporting covers engagement and ticket sales, DynaPictures has a ticket-page pixel, and Sessionboard credits registrations to the referrer.

    • Gleanin
    • DynaPictures
    • Sessionboard
  4. You want contests and rewards

Premagic (leaderboard, Refer & Earn) and KonfHub (contest with prize tiers) are built for it.

    • Premagic
    • KonfHub
  5. You run a public photo frame campaign

Twibbonize is made for broad frame campaigns that are not specific to LinkedIn or event roles.

    • Twibbonize

Running the campaign

Whichever tool you pick, the timeline is the same.

  1. 4 weeks out

    Design and set up

One graphic per role (attendee, speaker, sponsor), a short caption per graphic with the event name, date and hashtag.

  2. 3 weeks out

    Seed it

Team, speakers and partners post first, so attendees see real examples before you ask them.

  3. 2 weeks out

    Ask everyone

Put the link into the confirmation email, reminders and the event app. Ask once more in the last reminder.

  4. On site and after

    Keep it going

A QR code on screens for late deciders, then a recap graphic. Report views, downloads and estimated reach.

Want to put a number on the reach? The free event reach calculator estimates impressions and earned media value from your own assumptions, and the LinkedIn caption generator writes the first captions.
